This project aims to enhance Mur'rindum (black-breasted button-quail (BBBQ)) habitat resilience to climate change on K'gari (Fraser Island) and adjacent Butchulla Country including Great Sandy Strait islands. This project will undertake weed control and rehabilitate 20 hectares, protect four habitat sites by mosaic fire management and assess key wildfire and drought-affected habitat by monitoring over six sites per year for the three year duration of the project.
