Petroleum and gas, and mining environmental authorities register

The petroleum and gas (including coal seam gas) and mining environmental authorities register provides details about licences (environmental authorities) issued for petroleum and gas-related and mining-related developments. The environmental authorities include conditions requiring the developments to conduct these activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

Each environmental authority has a unique permit number, prefixed with four letters, starting with 'EP'. Petroleum and gas environmental authorities will always start with the letters 'EPAN', 'EPPG', 'EPSX' or 'EPVX'.

Only site specific mining environmental authorities are available from this register, and will always start with the letters 'EPAN', EPPR', or 'EPML'.
